happy paper anniversary, dirksen dabbles

It was happenstance that I actually thought about it, but one year from yesterday I posted my first painting for sale on Etsy. As you can guess, there were many firsts. Let's go over them together:

October 26, 2009 - First set of paintings listed on Etsy.
These were them!
October 27, 2009 - First painting sold (to a family member, so exciting!)

October 30, 2009 - First studio space rented

November 1, 2009 - First painting sold (to a non-family member, more exciting!)

November 4, 2009 - First blog post

November 17, 2009 - First painting sold (to someone I didn't know, excitement to extreme levels!)

December 18, 2009 - First commissioned painting sold

January 1, 2010 - First sales slump, followed by first temper tantrum meltdown to husband

March 4, 2010 - First time to have paintings in a brick & mortar shop

May 30, 2010 - First complete neglect of shop for transcontinental move

August 16, 2010 - First 'cause' benefited by artwork (Artwork For Adoption)

September 16, 2010 - First painting sold after move to Europe

October 27, 2010 - First major shop sale! Go check it out now...only three days for 20% off.

It's like I planned this sale or something. But I completely didn't. Maybe next year I will have a 2 year anniversary sale to make up for it :)

I want to thank all of you who have
purchased paintings, read this blog, commented, critiqued, supported, and enjoyed this journey with me. It's has been so rewarding and I can't wait for this next year to unfold!
