I would like to introduce you to Danielle Oakey. She writes her own blog and has graciously agreed to be the first participant in my the new series titled p[art]nership. This series will be all about how art relates to interior design and fashion.
Hi! I am Danielle from Danielle Oakey Interiors. I am so excited about Bethany’s new series and I am thrilled that she asked me to participate. Art is an essential and important part of interior design.
Art clusters are my favorite way to display art. I love mixing photography, paintings, and items of meaning on my walls.
My mom recently put together a gallery wall that I adore. She is included some items that have meaning as well as some decor items that she loves.
A successful art cluster includes a variety of textures, shapes, and dimensions.
Including items with some depth, like the glass jars and keys, add dimension and interest to an art cluster.
A variety of frames create an eclectic look, giving each piece the deserved attention.
It is also important to keep even spacing between each piece and don’t hang to high!
Happy hanging!
xo,
As an extra bonus, here is a little grouping I put together with Danielle's information as inspiration. All items were found on Etsy and are for sale. Click on the image to enlarge and see the links below :)
1. Birch Trees on Green Painting 2. Giant Keys 3. Vintage Bottles 4. Wooden Shelf with Vase 5. Cafe Sign 6. Moss Animal Print 7. Salvaged Wood Doorknob 8. Feather on Yellow Painting
